Engineer - New Product Development

Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced NPD Engineer with a background in the automotive industry, particularly in machining, water pumps, oil pumps, and automotive components. The candidate will be responsible for new product development, process planning, drawing interpretation, and coordination with design, production, quality, and suppliers.

Key Responsibilities

• Handle new product development activities for water pumps, oil pumps, and machined automotive components.
• Study customer drawings, technical specifications, GD&T, and product requirements.
• Coordinate with design, production, quality, and purchase teams for product development.
• Develop machining processes, process flow, routing, and tooling requirements.
• Prepare and maintain APQP, PPAP, FMEA, Control Plans, and other NPD documentation.
• Conduct feasibility studies, prototype development, trials, and validation.
• Coordinate with suppliers for raw materials, tooling, fixtures, and component development.
• Support cost estimation, cycle-time improvement, and process optimization.
• Ensure product quality and compliance with customer requirements.
• Support customer audits, engineering changes, and successful product launch.

Desired Candidate Profile

• Qualification: Diploma / B.E. / B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering.
• Experience: 3–8 years in NPD within the automotive or auto components industry.
• Experience in machining, water pumps, oil pumps, castings, forgings, or precision machined components.
• Knowledge of CNC machining, VMC, turning, milling, and machining processes.
• Familiarity with AutoCAD, drawing interpretation, GD&T, APQP, PPAP, PFMEA, and Control Plans.
• Good coordination, problem-solving, and communication skills.

Pay: ₹30,000.00 - ₹40,000.00 per month
