Engineer Operations for Market Risk applications

As an Engineer Operations for Market Risk applications you will:

• As part of the international Application Support team you will support Market Risk applications with the associated technical and business workflow.
• You will be involved in the work of a cell in an Agile working environment.
• Your reporting line is going to be to the Chapter Lead „Engineer Operations“ as well as to the Product Owner of your cell, and you cooperate closely with the staff in the cell and in the Application Operation team for Market Risk.

Showcase your expertise and expand your skills by taking responsibility for the following tasks:

Application Support for multiple applications in the Market Risk product area (as well as for the associated technical and business processes):

• Ensuring stable application support for applications following the respective SLAs as well as the internal and external regulatory requirements
• Application monitoring to ensure a stabile production environment
• User Support for technical and business driven issues or questions wrt the supported applications; Troubleshooting / Analysis of technical and business problems. (1st/2nd level support)
• Pro-active incident, change, request and problem management
• Performance analysis and initiate optimization initiatives for technical application processes and support processes
• Active Usage of AI to support day-to-day work and AO processes
• Support the prelife (UAT) environment for User Acceptance Tests
• Support and roll-out application releases and further changes as well as application specific configuration updates.
• Maintenance of the support documentation
• Backup and recovery management
• Good cooperation with business departments and other support teams in various locations as well as with developers and business analysts in our cluster.
• Represent Application Support topics in the cross-functional team (“cell” including developers and business specialists) and contributing as an effective team player.

Service times are 08:00-17:30 .

Participation in out-of-hours work also on weekends and holidays as well as in regular weekly on-call rota is mandatory.

• Very good database knowledge, preferable Oracle; Specialist in SQL
• Experience with using AI tools, e.g. MS 365 CoPilot and agents
• Distinct Unix know how; Experience with maintaining shell scripts
• Business knowledge in banking business and/or Risk Management.
• Good knowledge in job scheduling technologies (preferred: UC4)
• Good knowledge in data transfer technologies (preferred: iFG)
• Languages: English fluently; German is helpful.
• Flexibility time wise and content wise
• Willingness to participate in distinct weekend and holiday support, when required as well as being member of an on-call rota team.
