Engineer - Planning

Job Purpose

The Planning Engineer will be responsible for developing, monitoring, and controlling project schedules to ensure timely completion of real-estate and construction projects. The role involves coordination with site teams, consultants, contractors, procurement, and management to track project progress and identify potential delays.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare the project Baseline Schedule, WBS, and activity-wise programs.
• Monitor actual project progress against planned targets.
• Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly progress reports.
• Develop and maintain Look-Ahead Schedules and recovery programs.
• Identify delays, slippages, and activities affecting the project critical path.
• Coordinate with construction, design, procurement, MEP, QA/QC, and subcontractor teams.
• Track manpower, material, equipment, and productivity against project requirements.
• Review and update contractor/subcontractor schedules.
• Prepare S-curves, progress dashboards, histograms, and productivity reports.
• Conduct schedule variance and delay analysis and highlight corrective actions.
• Assist in preparation of EOT claims and delay analysis when required.
• Participate in project progress meetings and prepare MOM/action trackers.
• Coordinate with procurement teams to monitor material delivery dates against project requirements.
• Maintain accurate records of planned versus actual progress.
• Provide regular schedule updates and management reports to the Project Manager.
• Support project teams in achieving cost, quality, and time objectives
