Engineer (Process / NPI)

• Analyse and review customer part drawings to determine machining requirements and specifications.
• Establish and define the most efficient and cost-effective machining processes, including the identification of specialized tools, machinery, and fixtures.
• Collaborate with the Costing Department to provide detailed input on machining processes, tooling requirements, and equipment needs for RFQs.
• Support the Production Department by ensuring that all necessary process documentation, tooling, and equipment are available for successful First Article (FA) production runs.
• Perform process validation and support troubleshooting during initial production phases.
• Recommend improvements to machining processes to increase efficiency, reduce costs, and ensure high-quality standards.

Job Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
• Proven experience as a Machining Process Engineer or similar role in a manufacturing environment.
• Strong knowledge of machining processes, including CNC machining, turning, milling, grinding, and other related operations.
• Experience with part drawing interpretation and the ability to create machining process plans.
• Familiarity with the tools and equipment used in machining operations.
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work cross-functionally with various departments.
• Excellent communication skills and attention to detail.
• Proficiency in CAD/CAM software and process documentation tools.
