Engineer, Production

Job Purpose

• To assist, plan and maintain a good practices of assembly operation in TKAD to ensure continuance of producing non-electric detonator and accessories products in time and cost-effective ways while keeping highest safety and product quality standard at any time.

Key Responsibilities

Warehouse and Quality Control

1. Analyze raw material stock level by considering forecast provided by Sales and Export team.

• Data gathering to understand pattern of each Shockstar (Finished goods) ordering.
• Ensure raw materials are available prior to production start by clearing all transaction in SAP.
• Conduct proper raw & packaging materias monitoring includes stock movement and storing capacity within safe standard at each location
• Record, track and transfer physical copy of inventory transactions (raw materials, packing materials, etc) into SAP system daily.
• Ensure SAP system is updated in a timely manner to avoid any inconsistency with physical count of raw materials.
• Involve in month end stock count by liaising with production and finance team. Gather all the relevant information and submit the stock level report to finance. Ensure relevant GR/GI is being done in SAP to close the monthly transaction in time.
• Liaising with other members of different departments of any updates to SAP with regards to Inventory, Purchasing, Sales (Local), Sales (Export) and Supply Chain.

1. Processing order received from Sales and Export department.

• Prepare and review Packing List required for exporting Finish Products to meet demands of overseas customers and legal requirements.
• Provide daily updates on Finished Goods produced in SAP by transferring data from daily production record into system.

Quality

1. Ensuring operational procedures are followed thoroughly, maintained, and updated accordingly to avoid any product defects as well as to maintain safe operation.
2. Monitor, assess and improve competencies and knowledge of workers through development of lesson module and internal training periodically.
3. Evaluating materials and finished goods rejection rate in compliance to quality specification standard.
4. Collaborate with suppliers to address quality concerns and conduct supplier audits when necessary to maintain the highest quality standards.
5. Gathering production data that includes production output, manhours, overtime, and material consumed for the production monthly report and submitted to the Plant Manager.
6. Ensure all relevant documentation are well kept and in compliance with ISO requirements.
7. Involved in investigation on customer complaints related to product quality/production and provide root cause feedback to Technical manager.

Safety, Health & Environment (SHE)

1. Compliance with the SHE policies and requirements of the company.
2. Cultivate good safety practices and environment.
3. Identifying, documenting, and reporting unsafe practices while recommending methods to mitigate and improve.

Others

1. To undertake other duties and responsibilities as may be assigned by the Management from time to time or if deemed necessary for effective realization of the job purpose.
