Engineer/ Senior Engineer - Mold & Die

Responsibilities :

• Production mold repair & maintenance, ensure all the production mold is track on preventive maintenance, warranty shot and developed mold assessment for internal review on mold quality
• Developed tracking list to ensure yearly mold assessment and spare parts in place
• Improvement on critical mold and support production machine down time related on mold
• Troubleshoot, evaluate and plan method / approach to achieve solution for complex technical or process issue e.g., DOE, FMEA , DMAIC ,5WHY
• Understanding in injection molding process is must , troubleshot scientifically on molding defects which related to mold and injection process parameter
• Hands-on in-house mold making, assembly & follow up mold issue until 1st mass production
• Follow-up on mold modification on existing & new mold with internal team and vendors
• To be responsible for departmental staff training and development as well as their discipline and safety.
• Ability handling conventional tooling machine
• To be responsible for the maintenance and safety of departmental Equipment’s and machineries includes all 5S activities
• To participate in mold design review and lead or conduct project during mold development to avoid engineering changes resulting in unforeseen cost.
• To support achieve departmental goals and strategies in line with company vision, mission, and quality policy.
• Ability to make compressive report and presentation for the improvement and participate cost saving activities
• Other assignment as per HOD’s instruction from time to time

Requirements :

• Degree /Diploma in Mechanical Engineering / Mold & Die or related field is desired.

• Minimum 3~5 years and above experience in mould maintenance & tooling

• Excellent interpersonal skills and cross functional communication.

• Ability of multi-tasking and hands-on to deliver with tight deadlines & working extra miles

• Knowledge in Injection Moulding Process is must
