Engineer/ Senior Engineer - Mold Design

Responsibilities :

• Develop product & injection mould design, jig and fixture. Understanding in Automation assembly machine design and functions (Manual, semi auto and auto ) systems
• Work with program engineer and customer to fully understand moulded part design requirement and integrate these requirements into mould design and launch the project within timeline.
• Well known to derive 2D detail drawing, BOM and CAM program for each mould deign.
• Ability to hands on in 3D software such as Cimatron or Solidwork is must
• Leverage modelling and simulation study such as CAE analysis. Understanding in Moldex or Moldflow software is added advantage.
• Understand on hot runner system and design , multi cavity and 2k mold design
• Understanding on injection moulding process , critical parameter and mold design study verse injection moulding
• Ability to work successfully under pressure of tight timeline and frequent changes to heavy workload.
• Possess deep technical mastery of mold design and tool fabrication concept.
• Energetic, Initiative, and willing to self-learning and explore new technology such as Artificial intelligence (AI)
• Basic understanding on ISO 13485 added advantage
• Planning, conduct review meeting and technically direct projects to complete Mold Development and meet launching timing.
• Analyse, evaluate and plan method / approach to achieve solution for complex technical or process issue e.g., DOE, FMEA , DMAIC
• Review design and current practice to total solution of project.
• Review project progress and evaluate results in term of timeline and cost.
• Specify material, equipment and supplies required for implementation and completion of project.
• Evaluate vendor capabilities to provide products and services to support the project.
• Provide technical consultation to tool maker / operation person.
• Supervising Project Matrix Team for job assigned and attainment.
• Complete documentation & reports preparation of projects using MS Project / Excel / Power point /Words
• Any other assignment required by the superior from time to time.

Requirements :

• Degree /Diploma in Mechanical Engineering / Manufacturing / Mold Design or related field is desired.

• Minimum 3~5 years and above experience in mould design / Tooling

• Excellent interpersonal skills and cross functional communication.

• Knowledge in Injection Moulding Process is must
