Engineer, Technical Service (ACMV)

• Manage and coordinate ACMV Addition & Alteration (A&A), upgrading, replacement and modification works within existing and operational buildings.
• Conduct site surveys and assessments to understand existing ACMV system conditions, site constraints and client requirements.
• Develop suitable technical solutions and proposals for ACMV modification, replacement and improvement works.
• Plan and coordinate ACMV works, including chilled water systems, air-conditioning, mechanical ventilation and associated equipment and controls.
• Review drawings, specifications, technical submissions, method statements, material submissions and other project documentation.
• Coordinate with clients, consultants, building management, contractors, subcontractors and suppliers for project execution.
• Plan works carefully around existing building operations to minimise disruption and ensure continuity of services.
• Monitor site progress, manpower, materials and subcontractor works to ensure works are completed safely, on schedule and in accordance with project requirements.
• Troubleshoot ACMV system issues and recommend appropriate rectification or improvement measures.
• Coordinate testing and commissioning, system performance verification and inspections upon completion of works.
• Manage defects rectification and outstanding works and ensure timely closure prior to project handover.
• Prepare and coordinate as-built drawings, testing and commissioning records, O&M manuals and other project close-out documentation.
• Ensure works comply with applicable technical standards, Workplace Safety & Health (WSH) requirements and statutory regulations.
• Support cost estimation, quotations, procurement and other commercial or technical requirements for A&A works.

Job Requirements

• Degree or Diploma in Mechanical Engineering, Building Services or a related engineering discipline.
• Minimum 3 years of relevant ACMV engineering experience, preferably involving A&A, upgrading, replacement or modification works in existing buildings.
• Strong technical knowledge of ACMV systems, including chilled water, air-conditioning and mechanical ventilation systems.
• Hands-on experience in site survey, technical assessment, ACMV modification works, troubleshooting, testing and commissioning.
• Experience working within existing and operational buildings, with an understanding of site constraints, shutdown planning and minimising disruption to building operations.
• Able to read and interpret ACMV drawings, specifications and technical documentation.
• Able to develop practical technical solutions based on existing system conditions and client requirements.
• Able to coordinate effectively with clients, consultants, building management, contractors, subcontractors and suppliers.
• Strong problem-solving, project coordination and communication skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
