Engineer, Telecommunication ITS

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

·       Involve and support for COMMS system packages throughout various stages of the project including design, manufacture, delivery, installation and testing & commissioning, to meet the Specifications, cost, programme requirement and client expectations related to COMMS systems.

·       Work closely with related stakeholders in resolving interface and integration issues.

·       Monitor the performance of COMMS Sub-Contractors.

·       Review the Sub-Contractor’s design submissions against specification requirement with the support of Consultant.

·       Review the installation document / drawing, method statement documentation from COMMS sub-contractors.

·       Liaise and coordinate with Employer (MRTM) and Civil for the installation works.

·       Coordinate the site access works with civil team and sub-contractor for COMMS installation works.

·       Monitor the installation progress and verify the COMMS installation works at site.

·       Coordinate and witness the COMMS testing activities at site with Employer.

·       Provide site progress update for COMMS system package’s to superior (Manager).

·       Highlight and escalate the key issues to the Manager, Telecommunication.

·       Monitor the work progress against payment milestone.

·       Ensure safe working procedures and adhered to at all times.

Perform any other ad-hoc duties as and when required.

JOB REQUIREMENTS

1. Possess degree in Engineering or equivalent.
2. Relevant experience in IP-MPLS optical networks, Tetra/WiFi radio, CCTV design, PABX/SIP protocols, and ITU-T G.652D single-mode fiber splicing/OTDR testing.
3. Minimum 2 years of working experiences in Railway Communication or large-scale multi-disciplinary infrastructure projects.
4. Excellent oral and written communication skills with competent use of English language
5. PC literate and familiar with the use of Microsoft Office software, including Outlook, Word, Excel and Power Point.
6. Committed team player and able to work with other stakeholders of the project.
