Engineer (Transmission Maintenance)

Department: Transmission Network，Internet Network and Cloud Infrastructure Support & Maintenance
 
In this position, you will:

• Support for the maintenance of optical fiber network and transmission equipment in TBE room of residential & commercial buildings, and Data Centers.
• 7 x 24 duty support for emergency service recovery
• Be responsible for diagnosing fault and identifying the fault location of physical network
• Supervise contractors to perform emergency recovery work within the required SLA
• Handle and inspect the hand-over works with other parties.
• Contact suppliers to sourcing the tool and tester for field maintenance works.
• Documentation for daily routine, service outage report and purchasing

To be successful in this position, you should meet the following requirements:

• Bachelor degree in Engineering, Telecommunications, Business or related disciplines
• Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in Telecommunications industry with at least 3 years in transmission area
• Experience in the infra-structure of outside plant fiber and block-wiring is highly preferred.
• Self-motivated with strong problem-solving skills
• Good command of English, Chinese and Putonghua, both in written and spoken
• Valid driver license (Class 1 & 2) is preferred
• Candidate with less experience will be considered as Assistant Engineer
