Engineering and Construction Supervisor

For our client, we are seeking a Engineering and Construction Supervisor to join the team of a leader in the Energy & Utilities space.

This role will oversee field execution for transmission projects, coordinating contractors, construction engineers, and on-site activities to keep work moving safely and efficiently. The position is focused on balancing schedule, manpower, materials, safety, quality, and budget while supporting effective project delivery in a utility environment. You will also mentor field staff, help drive progress meetings, and contribute to planning and schedule development for complex construction work.

Location: Remote - US based candidates only, no visa sponsorship available

Compensation: $111,100 – $172,200 annually

Responsibilities

• Manage onsite field activities for transmission projects with up to 100 contractors
• Mentor Construction Engineers and provide guidance
• Establish and evaluate safety and quality control procedures on-site
• Assess daily construction needs, including manpower and material requirements
• Lead regular progress meetings to ensure compliance with safety, quality, and budget
• Review specifications for effective construction material utilization
• Assist in developing critical path project schedules

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering required
• Professional Engineer license preferred
• Minimum seven years of project construction experience required
• Supervisory experience preferred
• Strong proficiency with construction schedules essential
• Excellent leadership and communication skills required
• Flexibility to work out of town and on shifts is necessary
