Engineering and Maintenance Manager

• The Engineering and Maintenance Manager is responsible for ensuring the smooth operation and maintenance of all properties under management. This role oversees the technical operations, including preventive and corrective maintenance, renovations, and facility improvements. The manager will work closely with other departments to meet the company’s operational standards and that resources are used efficiently.

DUTIES, RESPONSIBILITIES AND ACCOUNTABILITIES

• Operations & Maintenance: Supervise daily engineering and maintenance activities, ensuring effective execution of repairs, preventive maintenance, and project timelines.
• Project Management: Review and approve project plans, ensuring compliance with contracts and schedules. Track project progress and manage contractor performance.
• Team Leadership: Lead and develop a team of engineers and technicians, delegating tasks and conducting performance reviews.
• Budget & Procurement: Manage the maintenance budget, oversee material procurement, and ensure cost-effective practices.
• Compliance & Safety: Ensure compliance with safety, health, and environmental regulations. Implement preventive maintenance and risk management strategies.
• Reporting & Coordination: Prepare and present regular project and status reports. Coordinate with property managers and external agencies on technical and maintenance matters.

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

Minimum Education Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Civil, or related field) or any related field.

Minimum Work Experience Requirement

• Minimum of 10 years of experience in facility engineering and maintenance, with at least 5 years in a managerial or leadership role overseeing multi-site operations.
• Proven track record in managing large-scale facility operations, including engineering, maintenance, safety, and compliance.

SKILLS

• Strong leadership and management capabilities, with a proven ability to lead, inspire, and develop high-performing teams.
• Deep knowledge of facility management, building systems (HVAC, electrical, plumbing, fire/life safety), and compliance with safety and regulatory standards.
• Expertise in creating and implementing preventive maintenance programs, managing emergency repairs, and optimizing facility operations.
