Engineering & Quality Manager

We are seeking an Engineering and Quality Manager to lead the Manufacturing Engineering and Quality functions, overseeing process development and optimization, implementation of new technologies, and new product introduction, as well as quality assurance, compliance with customer requirements, and management of the ISO 9001 quality system. This role will drive productivity, cost reduction, and continuous improvement across the plant.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and develop team members, setting objectives and monitoring performance.
• Manage the ISO 9001 quality management system, maintain certification, and ensure compliance with product specifications and customer requirements.
• Represent the plant in customer quality matters and coordinate problem analysis and timely closure of corrective actions.
• Analyze quality metrics and cost of poor quality, and drive Lean Sigma projects to reduce defects, waste, and costs.
• Oversee the control of measuring, inspection, and testing equipment.
• Lead engineering and new product introduction projects, from technical evaluation and prototyping through approval and production launch.
• Optimize manufacturing processes through time and capacity studies, manufacturing cell layouts, material flow improvements, and standardized work.
• Define and execute the manufacturing technology roadmap, including improvements to machinery, automation, error-proofing devices, fixtures, and tooling.
• Oversee maintenance of machinery, equipment, and facilities.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
• At least five years of experience in manufacturing engineering and quality.
• Previous experience in metalworking manufacturing, with knowledge of assembly, painting processes, and machining centers.
• Experience leading teams and implementing process optimization projects.
• Advanced English proficiency to interact with customers and global teams.

Technical Knowledge

• ISO 9001 quality management systems.
• Quality tools and structured problem-solving methodologies.
• PPAP, FMEA, SPC, MSA/Gage R&R, process capability studies, and Design of Experiments (DOE).
• Blueprint reading and Geometric Dimensioning and Toerancing (GD&T).
• Lean Sigma: Kaizen, TPM, SMED, standardized work, visual management, and VSM.
• Microsoft Office.
