Engineering & Quality Technicians (ME / TE / PE / Quality)

About the role

TRIVO ELECTRONICS SDN BHD is seeking motivated and hands-on Technicians to join our engineering and quality teams in Senai, Johor. We are hiring for multiple positions across Manufacturing Engineering (ME), Test Engineering (TE), Process Engineering (PE), and Quality.

These full-time positions will support daily manufacturing operations, equipment reliability, testing activities, process improvement, and product quality. The successful candidates will work closely with engineers and production teams to ensure smooth operations and continuous improvement across our manufacturing facilities.

What you'll be doing

1. Test & Debug Technician (TE)

• Troubleshoot and repair ICT and functional testers whenever malfunctions occur.
• Perform periodic preventive maintenance on testers according to the established PM schedule.
• Assist Test Engineers in setting up testers for new projects and customer ECN changes.
• Monitor and update tester downtime records before the end of each shift.
• Support testing operations and ensure equipment reliability to minimize production downtime.
• Perform other testing-related duties assigned by the superior.

2. Equipment Engineering Technician (ME)

• Carry out daily, weekly, and monthly maintenance activities for wave soldering equipment.
• Ensure facility support systems meet the basic requirements of manufacturing equipment.
• Issue, track, and record spare parts used for maintenance activities.
• Ensure indirect materials, including chemical solvents, grease, and cleaning solutions, are used according to approved vendor requirements.
• Inspect, repair, and maintain production pallets, including checking for wear and tear.
• Support the implementation and monitoring of process control requirements.
• Respond promptly to equipment breakdowns affecting production schedules.
• Assist or provide maintenance support for the SMT area when required.
• Ensure all tools are properly stored and secured after use.
• Monitor equipment performance and take appropriate action when abnormalities occur.
• Assist Engineering Managers and Engineers with engineering-related tasks as assigned.

3. Process Engineering Technician (PE)

• Assist Process Engineers in supporting daily production operations and resolving process-related issues.
• Support product feasibility assessments and PFMEA activities under the guidance of Process Engineers.
• Assist with new project setup, process introduction, and production line preparation.
• Support process improvement activities to enhance production efficiency, quality, and productivity.
• Assist in implementing ECO/ECN changes and ensuring process updates are properly executed.
• Troubleshoot production process issues and coordinate with relevant departments for timely resolution.
• Support the development and implementation of new processes and process improvements.
• Assist in preparing, updating, and maintaining process procedures, work instructions, and engineering documentation.
• Support the preparation and sharing of training materials related to production processes.
• Assist Process Engineers in coordinating project activities and technical requirements.
• Monitor production processes to ensure compliance with established procedures and requirements.

4. Quality Technician

• Prepare product quality work instructions related to in-process QA audits.
• Assist Product Quality Engineers in qualifying first article production runs.
• Conduct periodic process audits, including daily audits, to ensure manufacturing compliance with established procedures.
• Coordinate with relevant manufacturing sections to ensure corrective actions are effectively implemented and maintained.
• Ensure customer quality requirements are met.
• Coordinate and follow up on customer feedback to ensure issues are properly addressed and resolved.
• Issue and coordinate Purge Notices when required.
• Maintain quality records and support continuous improvement activities.
• Perform other quality-related duties assigned by the superior.

What we're looking for

• Certificate or Diploma in Engineering, Manufacturing, Electronics, Mechatronics, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field, depending on the position.
• Relevant experience in manufacturing, equipment maintenance, testing, process engineering, or quality control is an advantage.
• Basic knowledge of manufacturing processes, equipment maintenance, troubleshooting, or quality inspection.
• Ability to read and understand basic technical drawings, work instructions, and engineering documentation.
• Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Office applications.
• Good problem-solving, communication, and teamwork skills.
• Responsible, proactive, hands-on, and willing to learn.
• Able to work independently and collaboratively in a manufacturing environment.
• Strong commitment to workplace safety, product quality, and continuous improvement.
• Willing to support production requirements and work shifts when required.
