Engineering and Technical Manager (Successor Track)

About the role

Engineering and Technical Manager (Successor Track) on a structured leadership succession path. Functioning as a Cross-functional Project Lead within a Matrix structure, you will drive engineering projects, NPD, and technical procurement, working directly with the COO to transition into the current Department Manager's full role.

Key responsibilities

• Plan, execute, and monitor engineering projects to ensure on-time delivery within targets while controlling departmental budgets.
• Review machinery specifications, electrical systems, and evaluate capacity capability for each machine to support technical procurement, purchase contracts, and project development.
• Drive New Product Development (NPD) through product optimization and innovation in close collaboration with relevant teams.
• Research, test, and evaluate alternative raw materials for cost optimization, process enhancement, or material substitution.
• Oversee technical procurement and coordinate with local and overseas vendors.
• Drive cross-functional project execution through effective communication and stakeholder collaboration.
• Collaborate directly with the COO, thrive under high-pressure environments, and demonstrate high learning agility to succeed the current Department Manager.

About you

• Bachelor's Degree or higher in Engineering (Electronic, Mechatronics, or Industrial Engineering).
• 8 to 10+ years of professional experience in engineering, factory operations, or manufacturing.
• At least 5 years in managerial, supervisory, or project leadership roles.
• Direct experience in the Plastic or Packaging industry is highly preferred.
• Excellent English proficiency with TOEIC 700+ for overseas vendor management and contract reviews.
• Practical knowledge of electrical systems, machinery technical specifications, and machine production capacities.
• Foundational understanding of basic manufacturing and production workflows.
• Exceptional communication, negotiation, and cross-functional stakeholder management skills.
• High learning agility, adaptability, and strong resilience under executive pressure.
• Fully ready to travel and work at the Pak Chong factory (Nakhon Ratchasima) at least 3 days per week.
