Suntsu Electronics, Inc. is seeking an entry-level Engineering Assistant who shares our passion for innovation and growth. You will support our engineering team in our electronic component distribution business, working across vendor development, technical marketing, and quality assurance in a fast-paced industry with over 80 authorized manufacturers worldwide. We hold AS9100D and ISO 9001 certifications and maintain one of the most rigorous quality systems in the independent distribution space. Our ideal candidate will have experience in the electronic component industry or a strong technical foundation with exceptional attention to detail and a drive to learn. You should be comfortable working with data, building reports in Excel, and drawing conclusions from large data sets. More importantly, we are seeking someone who is curious, resourceful, and eager to contribute across multiple functions.

As the Engineering Assistant, you will research and evaluate new vendors and product categories to expand our line card, track product roadmaps from existing suppliers, and develop technical marketing materials, including data sheets, drawings, and competitive comparisons, that help our Account Managers win business. You will create reports analyzing load, booking, and vendor performance data to inform strategic decisions, and manage the vendor onboarding process for newly approved manufacturers. You will also support our quality function by assisting with incoming and outgoing merchandise inspection and testing electronic components as required.

Holistically, your role will bridge engineering, sales, and quality, helping identify the right products and partners, equipping the sales team with the materials they need, and ensuring our vendors meet the standards our customers expect. You will serve as a backup to our Quality Assurance Specialist on inspection guidelines, customer quality issues, quality documentation, and management of our AS9100 and AS6081 certifications.

This role requires proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including the ability to build and maintain reports, use formulas and pivot tables, and analyze trends across large data sets. Experience with data visualization, ERP systems (NetSuite preferred), and drawing or design software (CAD, Visio) is a plus. This role offers a competitive starting hourly rate, which is negotiable based on experience. You will also benefit from an uncapped incentive compensation plan linked to the business’s performance, which will be paid annually.
