Engineering Assistant (Contract/ Internship)

Key Responsibilities

• Support engineer in preparing engineering drawing, product information, process control plan, FMEA, ECN, artwork proof & other engineering documents as assigned for new and existing product lines.

• Support and management in engineering system, such as e-documents system, Tooling System

• Assist engineer with design, development and modification of projects using CAD and AI software.

• Assist engineer to collect and analyse data, trouble shooting of products and components as assigned and offer recommendations.

• Identify, recommend and implement improvement to manufacturing work instructions, process documentation and result reporting methods.

• Liaise with local and overseas tooling suppliers, including printing plate, ink, stencil supplier on design and issue.

• Communication and work closely with internal cross functional team and external vendor in supporting engineering activities.

• Abides by company safety policies and procedure, including general housekeeping (5S) and work area cleanliness.

• Ensuring work meets technical specifications, regulatory standards, and workplace health and safety protocols.

• To support and comply with the Brady Corporation Global Policies, Brady Policy, Quality Policy, Environmental Policy, Safety & Health Policy and other organization policies that are relevant to job functions. To responsible, accountable and committed to fulfil the codes and statements prescribed in the policies.

Requisite Criteria

• Minimum ITE Certifications/ SPM/ Diploma in Science/ Mechanical / Manufacturing with minimum 1-2 years related experience or an equivalent combination of education, training and or work experience.

• Proficiency in drafting CAD Software, Adobe Illustrator, Microsoft Office Tools and data analysis.

• Working experience in manufacturing and knowledge in 3D drawing is added advantage.

• Possess problem solving skills, good interpersonal and communication skills.

• Proficient in understanding and interpretation of mechanical drawings, CAD and artwork (Adobe Illustrator, eps) software.
