Engineering Associate

Key Responsibilities

• Assist in the day-to-day maintenance and operation of hotel engineering systems and equipment.
• Attend to maintenance complaints and service requests from guest rooms and other hotel departments promptly.
• Carry out preventive and corrective maintenance as instructed by the Engineering Supervisor.
• Monitor and maintain electrical, plumbing, HVAC, refrigeration, kitchen equipment, and other hotel facilities.
• Conduct regular inspections of equipment and identify potential breakdowns or maintenance requirements.
• Assist in troubleshooting and repairing electrical and mechanical equipment.
• Ensure proper functioning of lighting, switches, sockets, pumps, motors, air-conditioning systems, water supply, and drainage systems.
• Record completed maintenance work, breakdowns, and repairs in the appropriate maintenance logbooks/records.
• Follow the hotel's preventive maintenance schedule and ensure assigned tasks are completed on time.
• Respond to emergency maintenance situations and take appropriate action to minimize operational disruption.
• Coordinate with other departments regarding maintenance requirements and follow up until the issue is resolved.
• Ensure proper use, storage, and maintenance of engineering tools and equipment.
• Maintain cleanliness and safety standards in engineering workshops, plant rooms, and work areas.
• Follow all health, safety, fire, environmental, and hotel operating procedures.
• Assist contractors and external service technicians during maintenance and repair activities when required.
• Report major defects, equipment failures, and safety hazards to the Engineering Supervisor immediately.
• Maintain adequate knowledge of hotel equipment, systems, and operating procedures.
• Perform any other engineering-related duties assigned by the Engineering Manager/Supervisor.

Key Skills & Competencies

• Basic knowledge of electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and mechanical systems.
• Good troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to respond quickly to maintenance emergencies.
• Basic knowledge of preventive maintenance procedures.
• Good teamwork and communication skills.
• Safety-conscious and responsible approach to work.
• Ability to work in shifts, weekends, and holidays as required in hotel operations.
• Ability to work under pressure and prioritize urgent maintenance requests.

Qualification

• ITI / Diploma in Electrical, Mechanical, Refrigeration & Air Conditioning, or a related technical field.
• Relevant experience in hotel engineering or facility maintenance is preferred.
• Freshers with relevant technical qualifications may also be considered.

Pay: ₹18,000.00 - ₹20,000.00 per month
