Engineering cum Quality Executive

About the role

The Engineering cum Quality Executive supports and drives Engineering and Quality functions to ensure stable production operations, high product quality, and on-time customer delivery. This role involves supervising daily departmental activities, managing manpower allocation, leading quality assurance processes, supporting NPI readiness, and coordinating cross-functional teams to improve productivity, yield, and cycle time. The position reports to the Department Manager and acts as a key contributor to continuous improvement and QMS compliance.

Key responsibilities

• Assist the Department Manager in planning, allocating, and supervising daily manpower to meet production and quality targets.
• Provide technical guidance and leadership to Engineering and Quality team members.
• Support department goal setting, performance monitoring, and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Act as a point-of-contact for Engineering and Quality matters in the absence of the Department Manager.
• Lead the development and improvement of jigs, fixtures, and tooling to enhance productivity, reduce cycle time, and improve process stability.
• Review production workflows and propose engineering solutions to optimize efficiency, yield, and uptime.
• Develop, implement, and maintain QC processes, inspection standards, and control plans.
• Lead incoming, in-process, and final inspections, ensuring compliance with customer and regulatory requirements.
• Lead or support root-cause analysis (RCA) and 8D report for quality or production issues.
• Coordinate with Production, Marketing, Maintenance, and Supply Chain teams to align engineering and quality objectives with business needs.

About you

• Technical guidance and leadership capability for Engineering and Quality team members.
• Experience in design reviews, process validation, and equipment qualification.
• Hands-on experience in chemical handling and test analysis.
• Familiarity with motion-times measurement engineering.
• Knowledge of QMS standards including ISO 9001, ISO 14001, ISO 45001.
• Experience conducting internal audits and supporting external audits.
• Root-cause analysis and problem-solving capability.
• Cross-functional collaboration and customer communication skills.
