Job Title: Engineering Director

Job Type: Full-Time – On-site

Location: Riyadh, Saudi Arabia

Job Description:

The Engineering Director will oversee and guide the company’s engineering activities across the full project lifecycle, from initial inquiry and technical assessment through design, quotation support, project execution support, and final handover.

The role serves as the senior engineering authority, ensuring that proposed solutions are technically sound, practical, cost-effective, and properly implemented by the project teams.

Requirements

* Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Architecture, or a related technical discipline.

* 8+ years of relevant experience, preferably in contracting, fit-out, construction, building solutions, or specialized engineering.

* Previous experience in a senior engineering or technical leadership position.

* Strong understanding of drawings, specifications, BOQs, materials, technical submittals, and construction methodologies.

* Strong experience reviewing quotations and technical proposals.

* Practical site experience and ability to identify and resolve engineering issues.

* Ability to manage and review multidisciplinary engineering work.

* Strong coordination and problem-solving skills.

* Commercial awareness and understanding of project cost implications.

* Excellent communication and leadership skills.

Roles And Responsibilities

* Lead and oversee the Engineering Department and provide direction to the Head of Engineering.

* Review project inquiries, drawings, specifications, BOQs, and client requirements.

* Support the estimation and sales teams in developing technically accurate quotations and proposals.

* Review and approve engineering solutions, drawings, material selections, technical submittals, and methodologies.

* Ensure proposed solutions are practical, commercially viable, and suitable for site conditions.

* Provide technical support to project and site teams throughout execution without directly managing day-to-day construction activities.

* Resolve technical issues, design conflicts, and site-related engineering challenges.

* Conduct site visits when required to review conditions, verify technical compliance, and support project teams.

* Establish and maintain engineering standards, procedures, and quality requirements.

* Coordinate between Engineering, Estimation, Sales, Procurement, and Projects to ensure smooth technical handover.

* Support value engineering and identify alternative solutions where appropriate.

* Ensure delivered works comply with approved drawings, specifications, and required engineering standards.
