Engineering / Equipment Technician (Manufacturing Ind)

Responsibilities:

• Build, assemble and troubleshoot automated assembly machines and production equipment.
• Perform machine setup, alignment, calibration, adjustment and final commissioning.
• Carry out mechanical and electrical troubleshooting to identify and resolve machine faults.
• Assemble and install machine components, sub-assemblies, sensors, cylinders, tracks, actuators and other equipment parts.
• Read and interpret engineering drawings, machine drawings, schematics and work instructions.
• Assist Engineers with new machine installation, equipment start-up, commissioning and process development.

Requirements:

• Diploma / Nitec / Higher Nitec or equivalent in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, Electronics, Automation or a related discipline.
• At least 2 years of relevant hands-on experience in equipment engineering, machine maintenance, automation, production equipment or manufacturing.
• Experience troubleshooting automated machinery, assembly machines or production equipment.
• Strong hands-on knowledge of mechanical and/or electrical systems.
• Experience in machine setup, calibration, alignment, changeover or commissioning will be advantageous.
• Ability to read and understand engineering drawings, electrical schematics and technical documentation.
