Engineering Field Service Manager

Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Engineering Field Service Manager to oversee the daily operations of our field service engineers and technicians. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background in engineering, as well as proven leadership skills to effectively manage a team and ensure high-quality service delivery to our clients.

Responsibilities:

• Lead, mentor, and supervise a team of field service engineers and technicians
• Ensure timely and efficient resolution of technical issues and service requests
• Develop and implement training programs to enhance the skills and knowledge of field service staff
• Monitor field service performance metrics and implement improvement strategies as needed
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless communication and coordination of field service activities
• Manage inventory, equipment, and resources to optimize field service operations
• Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients to ensure customer satisfaction
• Provide technical support and expertise to field service staff as needed

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or related field;
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in a technical field service role, with at least 2 years in a supervisory or managerial position
• Strong technical expertise in engineering disciplines, such as mechanical, electrical, or industrial engineering
• Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills
• Proven ability to manage a team, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines
• Experience in developing and implementing training programs for technical staff
• Familiarity with field service management software and tools
• Willingness to travel to client sites as needed
• Certification or licensure in a relevant engineering field is a plus
