Engineering Head

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

1. Coordinates with the Contractor's Engineers & Architects for the proper implementation of renovation or expansion. (Plan versus As-Built)

2. Assists in supervising the on-going renovation/ expansion in the absence of either the Architect or the Engineer.

3. Checks the quantity & quality of materials (specifications as to brands, sizes, weight, length, and color as appropriate) delivered by the contractor.

4. Checks the weekly accomplishment of the contractor's Electricians, Painter and Carpenter.

5. Checks all pending materials at the construction site, which should be supplied by the contractor to ensure compliance and prevent delay.

6. Checks pending jobs by the contractors and conducts the necessary follow-ups.

7. Receives request from different Departments or branches. Logs in and prioritize.

8. Checks requisition for any incomplete specification to prevent misdeliveries.

9. Proceeds with the canvassing after checking the previous price of the materials being requested.

10. Receives request for repair of all Service Operation equipments & Air Conditioning Units from different departments or branches.

a. Checks the history of the unit based on records from the time of purchase and the frequency of services done.

b. Calls for Technician to check the unit for proper evaluation.

c. Requests for repair estimate and asks for billing.

d. Forwards to Purchasing Officer the billing report for further evaluation.

e. If no problem encountered, proceed with the preparation of Purchase Orders.

f. If units or equipment need pull-out from the company premises to outside repair shop, coordinates with the Service Staff & schedules pull-out. linform parties concerned about date of delivery.

g. Follow-up the status of pull out from time to time.

11. Monitors and ensures the deliveries of major materials, supplies and equipments.

**12.**Coordinates with the suppliers and contractors regarding all excess materials for billing deduction with corresponding Debit Memo.

**13.**Coordinates with the Audit Department concerning all materials for disposal.

14. Provides assistance to Administration personnel in terms of building maintenance.

**15.**Since not all repair works must be job out, provides technical advice or assistance to all departments or branches thru the Administration Office. Internal staff performs the repair works, the company purchases only the materials needed. The objective here is to minimize the cost of repair.

Additional Duties and Responsibilities

• Process, prepare, and monitor applications, renewals, and compliance requirements for government permits and licenses, including Building Permits, Occupancy Permits, Business Permits, Fire Safety Inspection Certificates, Barangay Clearances, and other permits required by local government units (LGUs) and regulatory agencies.
• Coordinate with barangays, municipal/city offices, and other government agencies to secure the necessary permits, clearances, and approvals for company projects and operations.
• Ensure that all government permits and engineering-related documents are updated, complete, and submitted on time to avoid delays or compliance issues.

These additions clearly indicate that the Engineering Assistant is responsible for handling permits and coordinating with government offices such as the barangay and municipality.
