Engineering Lead

The Engineering Lead will ensure that the solutions being developed conform to the architecture and meet agreed-upon standards, lead and participate in implementation assessments and reviews, ensuring the highest quality of technology solutions developed.

Responsibilities

• Represent Pinkerton’s core values of integrity, vigilance, and excellence.
• Platform Architecture – will be responsible for the realization of the platform architecture and will work closely with Securitas' architecture community and especially Integration Architects, supporting them with engineering-related decision-making.
• Platform Engineering Leadership – will ensure that the solutions being developed conform to the architecture and meet agreed-upon standards, lead and participate in implementation assessments and reviews, ensuring the highest quality of technology solutions developed.
• Integration Platform Engineering Config-driven integrations: will drive our Config-Driven Integration Pipeline Framework rigorously, making onboarding of domain teams, projects, and new integrations repeatable.
• Platform marketplace: Continuously make new adapters, connectors, and SDKs available in the integration marketplace for reuse and speed.
• OpenTelemetry (OTel): We have adopted OpenTelemetry as our de facto standard for both application and integration infrastructure observability.
• Will evangelize the widespread use of the consumer SDK and OTel-compliant observability SDKs within the internal developer community.
• All other duties, as assigned.

Qualifications 10+ years of working experience within platform engineering and the broader IT industry. 5+ years of relevant and documented Engineering experience from the integration domain and experience of integration platform development as well as associated technologies. Experience in driving change, leading an engineering roadmap and collaborating cross-functionally at all levels of a complex organization. IT/IS architecture experience in a platform engineering context.

• In-depth knowledge of creating and leading an Integration Platform.
• Knowledge of modern software engineering practices and cloud tooling.
• English language proficiency at a professional business level.
