About the Role
We are seeking an experienced and technically strong Engineering Lead to oversee engineering and maintenance operations, ensuring aircraft safety, airworthiness, reliability, regulatory compliance, and operational readiness.

The successful candidate will lead engineering teams, coordinate maintenance activities, manage technical partners, and provide strategic technical guidance to support safe and efficient airline operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and oversee aircraft engineering, maintenance, and technical operations.
• Ensure aircraft remain airworthy, safe, reliable, and operationally ready.
• Develop and monitor maintenance plans, schedules, inspections, and defect rectification.
• Monitor aircraft reliability, recurring technical issues, maintenance delays, and corrective actions.
• Ensure compliance with NCAA/Nig.CARs, ICAO standards, approved maintenance programs, and company procedures.
• Coordinate with MROs, aircraft manufacturers, technical vendors, and regulatory authorities.
• Review and maintain accurate aircraft technical records and maintenance documentation.
• Provide technical support and guidance on complex engineering and maintenance issues.
• Lead engineering teams, set performance standards, and promote a strong safety culture.
• Support engineering budgets, maintenance cost control, procurement, and vendor management.
• Lead or support aircraft modification, upgrade, and engineering improvement projects.
• Work closely with Flight Operations, Safety, Quality, Finance, Procurement, and other departments to resolve technical and operational issues.
• Identify opportunities to improve aircraft reliability, maintenance efficiency, safety, and cost effectiveness.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree/HND in Aeronautical, Aerospace, Mechanical, Electrical/Electronics Engineering, or a related discipline.
• 5–7 years of relevant aviation engineering or aircraft maintenance experience.
• Previous experience in an airline, MRO, or aviation engineering environment is strongly required.
• Relevant aviation engineering, aircraft maintenance, or professional certification is an advantage.
• Strong knowledge of airworthiness, aircraft maintenance, NCAA/Nig.CARs, ICAO standards, and aviation safety requirements.
• Experience managing engineering teams, MROs, technical vendors, and maintenance activities.
• Strong understanding of aircraft reliability, maintenance planning, technical records, and defect management.
• Excellent technical, analytical, problem-solving, leadership, and communication skills.
• Ability to make sound technical decisions under pressure while maintaining safety and regulatory standards.
• High level of integrity, professionalism, and attention to detail.
