Engineering Manager (Ad Serving)

• We value your AI skills if you have built fluency across the agentic engineering toolchain — coding harnesses like Claude Code or Cursor, MCP servers, custom skills, or agent frameworks. And you can describe projects where you shipped real work with these tools. You know how to drive an agent, verify its output, and ramp on an unfamiliar codebase with an agent helping you
• Define and drive a multi-year technical strategy, influencing architecture across multiple teams
• Set the long-term technical vision and take end-to-end ownership of the scalability, stability, and performance of Roku’s ad serving mediation platforms - systems operating at massive scale with significant revenue impact
• Shape product direction by deeply understanding Roku’s advertising business, marketplace dynamics, and long-term monetization strategy
• Lead and grow high-performing engineering teams to execute ambitious product and technical roadmaps
• Hire, grow, and retain top talent, fostering a healthy environment where individuals can do their best work
• Lead initiatives to significantly improve developer productivity by streamlining development workflows, modernizing tooling, and reducing operational load

• Proven track record of leading cross-functional teams and initiatives

• 10+ years of experience architecting and building large distributed systems, with a proven track record of leading complex systems in dynamic, high-growth environments
• Perform as a staff+ technologist on complex, low-latency, revenue-critical, large-scale distributed backend systems
