Lead the team that builds the AI behind largest Nordic Tenant Experience Platform

About 20% of Sweden's rental tenants use Avy. We're the leading Tenant Experience platform in the Nordics: one B2B2C SaaS platform with ~40 modules that connects landlords, tenants and a large set of integrations (payments, smart locks, marketplaces).

AI is at the core of the platform. We've built the core of our own agentic platform in-house and enriched it with strategic COTS software. It runs both our tenant and administrator-facing assistants and the AI Insights that help property owners understand their buildings and their residents. We've proven product-market fit, and now we're scaling.

We need an Engineering Manager to lead the AI Platform team .

What you'll do

• Lead and grow a team of 5–10 engineers working on Avy's core AI platform.
• Own the AI technical strategy for the team: agent orchestration, LLM integration, retrieval, evals, observability, and cost and latency trade-offs.
• Generate code yourself. You'll contribute hands-on to our Go platform, not only review PRs.
• Ship AI to production. Turn prototypes into reliable, measurable features used by hundreds of thousands of people.
• Partner with Product and Design to find where AI creates real value for tenants and landlords.
• Raise the bar. Improve how we build, test and ship so the team scales without slowing down.

What you bring

• 8+ years in software engineering, including 5+ in Go or Java
• 3+ years managing people, plus a track record of technical leadership
• Strong system design skills in cloud-native, integration-heavy architectures
• Hands-on experience building with LLMs: agents, tool use, RAG, prompt and eval pipelines, or similar
• You use AI tools in your own daily work, and you have opinions about them
• Clear communication with engineers, product and business stakeholders
• A degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience
• The right to work in Sweden

Nice to have: an MSc or PhD in CS/ML, frontend experience (Flutter/Dart, React), Terraform, or experience in a matrixed scale-up.
