Engineering Manager, AI Intake

For our client, we are seeking a Engineering Manager, AI Intake to join the team of a leader in the Healthcare space.

This role will lead and coach a team of engineers while helping shape technical direction for a healthcare organization focused on reliable execution and strong cross-functional partnership. The position blends people leadership, hands-on technical contribution, and architectural decision-making to support new initiatives and keep delivery aligned with business goals. You will serve as a key point of contact across teams, helping translate ideas into feasible plans and ensuring engineering practices support quality and speed.

Location: Remote - US based candidates only, no visa sponsorship available

Compensation: $220,000 – $275,000 annually

Responsibilities

• Coach and mentor up to 5 engineers for their technical and career growth
• Ensure team accountability for goals and effective project execution
• Oversee architecture decisions and assess risks to align with company objectives
• Lead technical discovery and feasibility studies for new projects
• Engage in regular PR reviews and design discussions to maintain coding relevance
• Dedicate 10-20% of time to hands-on coding work
• Guide agile methods and engineering best practices across teams
• Serve as the primary point of contact for cross-functional collaboration

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in software delivery in production environments
• 2+ years of management experience leading engineering teams
• Professional programming knowledge in open-source languages
• Ability to work in a remote-first culture
• Reside within the U.S.
