Engineering Manager – AI/ML

Location: San Sebastián, Spain | Hybrid

A leading technology company is looking for an Engineering Manager – AI/ML to lead an international team delivering cutting-edge AI solutions for leading industry clients. This is an opportunity to combine technical leadership, hands-on AI expertise and project management while working with advanced AI and quantum-inspired technologies.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in AI/ML or software engineering, experience managing engineering teams, and a proven track record of taking AI solutions from development into cloud-based production environments.

The key skills required for the Engineering Manager – AI/ML:

• Master's degree in Computer Science, AI, Data Science, Physics, Engineering or a related field.
• 5+ years of relevant industry experience, including 3+ years in AI/ML or software engineering.
• 2+ years of experience managing engineering teams and technical projects.
• Strong experience designing and deploying production-grade AI/ML systems , including Generative AI, LLMs, RAG and Agentic AI.
• Experience with LLM fine-tuning, model alignment, pruning or model compression techniques.
• Excellent Python, Docker and Git skills, with experience using GitHub or GitLab workflows.
• Experience deploying AI solutions in cloud-based production environments.
• Strong understanding of agile methodologies, project planning, risk management and technical delivery.
• Proven ability to lead cross-functional teams, set technical direction and maintain strong client relationships.
• Fluent Spanish and English .

You will lead technical teams, shape AI solution architecture and oversee projects from initial concept through to production deployment, working closely with clients and internal stakeholders to solve complex industry challenges.
