Role Description The Engineering Manager is a full-time, on-site role based at Paséa Hotel & Spa in Huntington Beach, CA. This role oversees the engineering and maintenance team responsible for the safe, efficient, and reliable operation of all building systems, equipment, and facilities across the resort. Day-to-day responsibilities include managing preventive and corrective maintenance schedules, coordinating projects and system integrations, monitoring contractor work, and ensuring compliance with safety, environmental, and regulatory standards. The Engineering Manager collaborates closely with operations, events, and guest services teams to support seamless meetings, events, and guest experiences, promptly addressing facility-related issues. The role also focuses on budget management, capital planning, team development, and continuous improvement of energy efficiency and asset longevity.

Qualifications

• Strong Engineering Management experience with proven ability to oversee facility systems, maintenance programs, and capital projects.
• Demonstrated Team Leadership skills, including mentoring, scheduling, performance management, and fostering an inclusive, safety-focused culture.
• Experience with Software Development or technical systems helpful for managing building management systems, maintenance software, or integrations.
• Solid Project Management skills, including planning, prioritizing, coordinating vendors, and delivering work on time and within budget.
• Hands-on understanding of Integration of mechanical, electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and control systems within a hospitality or commercial environment.
• Knowledge of building codes, safety regulations, and environmental and energy-efficiency practices relevant to hotel operations.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills for working with cross-functional teams and external partners.
• Relevant technical degree or trade certification in engineering, facilities management, or a related field; hospitality or resort experience is a plus.
