Engineering Manager

About the role

Responsible for managing the Engineering Department, ensuring that all engineering activities, designs, technical requirements, and project deliverables are properly planned, coordinated, reviewed, and implemented in accordance with project specifications, codes, quality standards, and company requirements.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and supervise the Engineering Team.
• Review and approve engineering plans, drawings, calculations, and technical documents.
• Ensure designs comply with project specifications, building codes, and applicable standards.
• Review and resolve engineering issues, RFIs, technical queries, and design conflicts.
• Monitor engineering deliverables and ensure timely submission of drawings and documents.
• Review shop drawings, as-built drawings, material submittals, and method statements.
• Assist in evaluating variation orders, technical proposals, and cost implications.
• Ensure proper coordination between design and actual site conditions.
• Conduct technical reviews and site inspections when required.
• Establish and maintain engineering standards, procedures, and document controls.
• Mentor and develop engineers and technical staff.
• Ensure compliance with quality, safety, and regulatory requirements.
• Participate in project planning, technical meetings, and client/consultant meetings.
• Provide management with technical recommendations and progress reports.

About you

• Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering or related field
• License Civil Engineer to sign as STE for PCAB
• At least 2-3 years of relevant engineering and construction experience.
• Strong knowledge of construction methods, engineering standards, and project documentation.
• Proficient in AutoCAD and other relevant engineering/design software.
• Strong leadership, coordination, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Experience managing engineers and coordinating multiple projects is preferred.
