Engineering Manager

ServicePower is a leading field service management platform serving warranty, manufacturing, and service organizations across North America, the UK, and beyond. We help service organizations manage their entire field operation, from scheduling and dispatch to a blended workforce of employed and contracted technicians, on a single platform.

The Role :

The Engineering Manager has the primary responsibility for developing, testing and maintaining ServicePower’s Scheduling capability to service SP’s Employed Workforce solution for Enterprises. In this capacity, the Engineering Manager must ensure that the Scheduling products meet customer SLAs for performance and availability.

The Engineering Manager must work closely with the Product Manager to support the Business to evaluate potential changes to the product to grow revenues. As such, the Engineering Manager must manage a team of Software Engineers and help guide them in developing, testing and deploying the technical designs and solutions in desired timeframes,

What You Will Own :

• Leverage Agile processes to develop, test and deploy Scheduling components

• Lead technical designs to guide development of Scheduling Server, Gantt and Manager

• Assist Product Managers in developing plans to meet client needs

• Work with peer Engineering leaders to ensure compatibility with the SP Platform

• Guide Software Engineers to ensure products maintain platform compatibility

• Evaluate and improve testing strategies to improve time to market

• Address Production issues when necessary

• Review and approve code changes

• Ensure Products meet SLAs and security requirements

• Work with Infrastructure team to meet security guideline, setup delivery processes and optimize costs • Mentor Software Engineers to adhere to good software practices

• Manage a team of onshore and offshore Software Engineers

• Drive and improve Agentic workflows for developing, testing and deploying software

What You Bring :

• Degree in Computer Science

• 10 Years as a software engineering professional

• 5+ years of experience leading and managing teams that build and deploy enterprise software

• Experience with developing in Java and JavaScript frameworks

• Knowledge of C++

• Experienced in SQL databases

• Experience in delivering cloud-based SaaS products and managing cloud infrastructure and costs • Excellent oral, written communication and presentation skills

• Excellent in delivering solutions based on Service Oriented Architecture

• Proven track record in developing Single Page Web Applications

• People management skills to interact with staff, colleagues, cross-functional teams and third parties

• Clear understanding and ability to leverage automated testing

• Proven experience in leveraging Gen AI tools for developing and testing software
