Engineering Manager

We are a harness manufacturer and have been established for nearly 30 years in the Stoke-on-Trent area. The role we are recruiting for is an Engineering Manager. We are happy to receive applications from experienced Engineering Managers or those with solid understanding and experience but wanting to take their next step in to Management.

The role can encompass a multitude of duties including :-

• Demonstrate leadership as first line management between Senior Management and Employees

• Co-ordinate and allocate work in line with customer requirements and distribute jobs according to employee skills/experience. Monitor workload within the Engineering Section and identify resource requirements.

• Monitor and identify training requirements for employees within your section.

• Overseeing preparation of enquiry quotations and transmission to customer.

• Planning and procurement tooling and materials.

·-Procurement/allocation of materials in line with schedule requirements.

-Interfacing with internal and external customers

• Contract review

• Processing MR’s / NCR’s / CR's for returned goods

• Responsibility for setting, monitoring and actioning KPI’s

• Quotations Procurement

• Good understanding of schematic drawings

Our ideal candidate would possess the following :-

· Good communication skills.

· Good Maths, English and IT skills.

· A sound knowledge of Microsoft Office – Microsoft Access would be advantageous

· Flexible approach & quick to learn

Pay: £35,000.00-£42,000.00 per year
