Engineering Manager

Job Summary

VIVA Industries is seeking an experienced Engineering Manager to lead engineering and maintenance operations within our manufacturing plant. This role is responsible for improving production machinery, maximizing equipment reliability, reducing machine downtime, driving cost reduction initiatives, and leading the engineering and maintenance team to support efficient manufacturing operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and manage all engineering and maintenance activities within the manufacturing plant.
• Plan and execute machine improvement projects to increase production efficiency and equipment performance.
• Develop, implement, and monitor Preventive Maintenance (PM) and Corrective Maintenance programs for all production machinery.
• Analyze machine failures, identify root causes, and implement preventive solutions to eliminate recurring issues.
• Monitor and improve machine performance, including OEE, downtime, MTBF, and MTTR.
• Ensure production machinery and equipment are maintained in a ready-to-operate condition to support continuous production.
• Provide technical support and engineering recommendations to Production and other related departments.
• Drive cost reduction and productivity improvement initiatives related to machinery, maintenance, utilities, and manufacturing processes.
• Plan, manage, and supervise machine installation, modification, relocation, and commissioning projects.
• Manage engineering and maintenance budgets, spare parts inventory, tools, and equipment.
• Evaluate and manage contractors, suppliers, and external service providers for engineering and maintenance work.
• Lead, coach, and develop the engineering and maintenance team through training and performance improvement.
• Ensure engineering and maintenance activities comply with the company's quality, safety, and environmental standards.
• Prepare engineering reports, maintenance performance reports, and improvement action plans for management review.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.
• Minimum 10 years of engineering or maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in a managerial or supervisory role.
• Strong experience in machine improvement, preventive maintenance, and maintenance management.
• Proven experience in cost reduction and productivity improvement projects.
• Knowledge of mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems.
• Ability to read engineering drawings and use AutoCAD.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
