Engineering Manager

Position Summary

The Engineering Manager is responsible for planning, Managing, and coordinating safe and efficient Engineering activites & transportation for heavy lifting and transportation projects.

Key Responsibilities

Plan and manage engineering activities for heavy lifting and transportation projects.

Review project requirements, technical drawings, equipment specifications, and site conditions to develop practical engineering solutions.

Prepare lifting plans, engineering calculations, rigging studies, and method statements.

Assess crane capacities, lifting equipment, and load configurations.

Develop safe lifting methodologies for routine and critical lifts.

Produce technical drawings and lift plans using CAD software.

Verify compliance with applicable industry standards and client specifications.

Participate in site surveys and feasibility assessments.

Provide technical guidance to project managers, supervisors, operators, and rigging teams.

Attend project meetings and present engineering solutions.

Coordinate with operations teams to ensure lifting plans are practical and executable.

Maintain accurate project records and engineering files.

Identify potential technical risks and develop appropriate mitigation measures during project planning and execution.

Store and manage documents according to company procedures.

Follow internal approval processes for engineering deliverables.

Qualifications Bachelor's Degree or Diploma in Mechanical, Civil, Structural, or related Engineering discipline.

Preferred Professional lifting engineering certification or equivalent experience preferred.

Strong knowledge of lifting equipment, rigging principles, load calculations, and crane operations.

Proficiency in AutoCAD and engineering software.

Good understanding of international lifting standards and safety regulations.

Experience Minimum 5 years of experience in heavy lifting, crane operations, construction, oil & gas, petrochemical, infrastructure, or industrial projects.

Experience in developing lifting plans and engineering studies.

Familiarity with mobile cranes, crawler cranes, gantries, strand jacks, and specialized lifting equipment is an advantage.
