Engineering Manager

SumatoSoft is seeking a skilled and organized Technical Project Manager to oversee software and technology projects from initial planning through successful delivery. This role involves coordinating technical teams, managing project timelines and requirements, communicating with clients and stakeholders, and helping ensure projects are delivered efficiently and according to established goals. The ideal candidate combines strong project-management abilities with a solid understanding of software development and technology workflows.

Key Responsibilities

• Plan and coordinate software and technology projects from start to completion.
• Define project goals, scope, milestones, timelines, and deliverables.
• Coordinate developers, designers, QA specialists, analysts, and other project team members.
• Work with clients and stakeholders to gather and clarify business and technical requirements.
• Translate project requirements into clear tasks, priorities, and deliverables.
• Monitor project schedules, progress, resources, dependencies, and deadlines.
• Identify project risks, technical issues, and potential delivery challenges.
• Communicate project status, priorities, risks, and decisions to clients and stakeholders.
• Organize project meetings, sprint planning, reviews, and status updates.
• Support Agile and Scrum development processes when applicable.
• Coordinate changes to project scope, requirements, and priorities.
• Support testing, quality assurance, implementation, and release activities.
• Maintain accurate project documentation, schedules, reports, and requirements.
• Help ensure projects meet quality expectations, timelines, and client objectives.

Qualifications

• Previous technical project management, software development, IT, or technology consulting experience.
• Strong understanding of software development life cycles and technical project processes.
• Familiarity with Agile, Scrum, sprint planning, and project-management practices.
• Strong organizational, leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to communicate effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Comfortable managing multiple priorities, deadlines, and project dependencies.
• Strong attention to detail and project documentation.
• Familiarity with project-management and collaboration tools is helpful.
• Professional, dependable, and client-focused approach to work.
• Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a cross-functional team.

Pay: $74.08 - $78.09 per hour
