Engineering Manager

About the role

LC BIGMAK BURGER INC. is seeking an experienced Engineering Manager to join our growing team. This is a full-time position based in Lucena City, Quezon, where you will oversee all engineering operations and drive strategic initiatives to ensure the optimal performance and safety of our facilities. The Engineering Manager will be responsible for leading a team of engineers and technical staff, managing capital projects, and ensuring compliance with all relevant building codes and industry standards. This role offers the opportunity to make a significant impact on our operational efficiency and long-term sustainability.

Key responsibilities

• Lead, manage and develop a team of civil and structural engineers, ensuring they have the tools, training and support needed to excel in their roles
• Oversee the planning, design and execution of capital projects, including new facility construction and major renovations
• Ensure all engineering work complies with relevant building codes, industry standards and regulatory requirements
• Manage budgets and project timelines, delivering projects on schedule and within allocated resources
• Conduct regular site inspections and assessments to identify maintenance needs and potential safety concerns
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including operations, facilities and senior management to align engineering initiatives with business objectives
• Develop and implement preventative maintenance programmes to maximise facility uptime and minimise costs
• Evaluate new technologies and engineering solutions that could enhance operational efficiency or reduce environmental impact
• Maintain detailed documentation of all engineering projects, inspections and maintenance activities
• Represent the engineering function in meetings with external contractors, consultants and regulatory authorities

What we're looking for

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering or a related engineering discipline
• Professional Engineering (PE) license or equivalent professional qualification is highly desirable
• Minimum of 7-10 years' experience in civil or structural engineering, with at least 3-5 years in a management or supervisory capacity
• Strong knowledge of building codes, construction standards and safety regulations applicable to the Philippines and relevant jurisdictions
• Proven experience in project management, including planning, budgeting and delivering complex engineering projects
• Demonstrated leadership abilities with the capacity to motivate and develop engineering teams
• Proficiency in engineering software and CAD applications
• Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to make sound technical decisions under pressure
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to liaise effectively with diverse stakeholders
• Experience in facilities management, maintenance planning or capital project delivery within the hospitality or food service industry would be advantageous
