Engineering Manager

Role Summary

The Engineering Manager leads a small engineering team responsible for process performance, equipment reliability, and continuous improvement. This is a hands-on role: you will troubleshoot issues directly, analyze process and equipment data, prepare technical reports, and work with customers and suppliers on technical matters as required.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and develop a small engineering/technical team, assigning work and providing day-to-day guidance
• Own process and equipment performance, including troubleshooting, root cause analysis, and implementing corrective actions
• Analyze process and equipment data to identify trends, inefficiencies, and improvement opportunities
• Prepare technical reports, project updates, and performance summaries for management
• Develop and maintain process documentation, SOPs, and work instructions
• Plan and support equipment installation, qualification, preventive maintenance, and lifecycle management
• Be hands-on with equipment and process work where needed, supporting production on the floor
• Engage with customers on technical requirements, process changes, and issue resolution as required
• Evaluate and manage equipment vendors and technical suppliers, including quotations and service follow-up
• Work closely with quality and production teams, and ensure compliance with safety and EHS requirements
• Provide technical training to technicians and operators

Requirements

• Diploma/Degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, or a related field)
• 3–5 years of relevant experience in process or equipment engineering, preferably in manufacturing, semiconductor, or cleanroom environments
• Strong troubleshooting skills and a practical, hands-on approach
• Comfortable handling data in Excel (or similar tools) and writing clear technical reports
• Experience leading or supervising a small team, or readiness to step into a team lead role
• Good communication skills for dealing with customers, suppliers, and internal teams
• Familiarity with ISO 9001 and EHS requirements is an advantage
