Engineering Manager

Job Summary

The Engineering Manager is responsible for leading the engineering team in the design, development, optimization, and manufacturing support of centrifugal, positive displacement, and customized pumping solutions. The role drives product innovation, engineering excellence, project execution, quality improvement, cost optimization, and compliance with industry standards while ensuring customer satisfaction and business growth.

Key Responsibilities

Engineering Leadership

• Lead and manage a multidisciplinary engineering team including design, project, application, and manufacturing engineers.
• Develop engineering strategies aligned with organizational goals.
• Mentor, coach, and evaluate engineering team performance.
• Foster a culture of innovation, collaboration, and continuous improvement.

Product Design & Development

• Oversee design and development of pumps, pumping systems, and related equipment.
• Review and approve engineering drawings, specifications, calculations, and technical documentation.
• Drive product enhancements focused on efficiency, reliability, and cost reduction.
• Support new product development initiatives and technology upgrades.

Project Management

• Manage engineering projects from concept through production and commissioning.
• Ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and according to customer requirements.
• Coordinate with sales, manufacturing, procurement, quality, and service teams.

Technical & Customer Support

• Provide technical guidance to internal and external stakeholders.
• Support bid preparation, technical proposals, and customer presentations.
• Resolve complex engineering and field performance issues.
• Participate in customer meetings and site visits when required.

Manufacturing & Operations Support

• Collaborate with production teams to improve manufacturability and productivity.
• Support value engineering and cost-reduction initiatives.
• Resolve production-related technical challenges.

Quality & Compliance

• Ensure compliance with API, ISO, ANSI, Hydraulic Institute, ASME, and other applicable standards.
• Support quality improvement programs and root cause analysis.
• Drive corrective and preventive actions (CAPA).

Continuous Improvement

• Implement Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, and process improvement initiatives.
• Monitor engineering KPIs and drive operational excellence.
• Identify opportunities for automation and digital engineering tools.

Required Qualifications

Education

• Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering.
• Master's Degree preferred.

Experience

• 10-15+ years of experience in pump manufacturing, rotating equipment, fluid handling systems, or related industries.
• Minimum 5 years in engineering leadership or people management role.
