Engineering Manager - Core Infrastructure (Remote)

For our client, we are seeking a Engineering Manager - Core Infrastructure (Remote) to join the team of a leader in the Information Technology space.

This role will lead a team focused on core infrastructure engineering, with responsibility for building scalable internal platforms that support reliable operations across the technology environment. The position will partner closely with senior engineers and cross-functional stakeholders to set technical standards, improve delivery practices, and drive performance, cost efficiency, and operational excellence. It is a hands-on leadership role for someone who can balance architecture, process discipline, and team development in a multi-cloud setting.

Location: Remote - US based candidates only, no visa sponsorship available

Compensation: $140,000 – $215,000 annually

Responsibilities

• Manage and develop a team of engineers to build high-quality platforms
• Architect large-scale infrastructure services for team use
• Facilitate retrospectives and planning meetings to foster collaboration
• Review and approve design proposals from engineering teams
• Drive cloud cost optimization to balance performance and budget
• Define standards for service deployments in a multi-cloud environment
• Participate in lunch and learn sessions to share knowledge and innovations

Qualifications

• 8+ years of industry experience in infrastructure development
• Experience with configuration management tools such as Chef, Puppet, or Salt
• Proficiency in provisioning and orchestration tools such as Terraform and Ansible
• Strong knowledge of SRE principles and practices
• Proven leadership experience managing senior engineers
• Expertise in Python or Go for software development
• Familiarity with AI technologies to enhance workflows
