Engineering Manager, Dedicated Infrastructure

For our client, we are seeking a Engineering Manager, Dedicated Infrastructure to join the team of a leader in the Information Technology space.

This role will lead a remote engineering team responsible for the reliability, scalability, and security of dedicated infrastructure services. You will partner closely with product management and other stakeholders to prioritize work, deliver improvements, and keep production environments running with a high standard of availability. The position also emphasizes team leadership, incident response, and the use of automation and AI-enabled practices to improve execution.

Location: Remote - US based candidates only, no visa sponsorship available

Compensation: $152,800 – $259,200 annually

Responsibilities

• Partner with the Product Manager to prioritize work and ensure quality delivery
• Maintain 99.9% availability and enhance security for dedicated infrastructure
• Provide clear direction and feedback to team members
• Improve platforms for self-service workflows in production
• Recruit and develop team members, fostering growth and accountability
• Lead by example with proofs of concept and AI-assisted methods
• Manage incidents effectively, ensuring timely resolution and documentation
• Use data to guide prioritization and risk management, and explain trade-offs to stakeholders

Qualifications

• 5-7 years of experience in building large-scale distributed services
• Proficiency in fleet management, Terraform, and AWS
• Experience maintaining 99.99% availability service-level objectives
• Familiarity with AI tools to enhance team productivity
• Proven track record in managing high-performing teams
• Ability to lead complex projects independently
• Experience with remote team leadership
