Engineering Manager, Mobile Development Productivity

For our client, we are seeking a Engineering Manager, Mobile Development Productivity to join the team of a leader in the Finance & Insurance space.

This role will lead an engineering team focused on improving the productivity of mobile developers and AI agents through better platforms, tools, and metrics. You will partner closely with product, infrastructure, and staff engineering leaders to shape technical direction, solve shared development challenges, and drive reliable execution. The position requires a strong balance of technical strategy, people leadership, and cross-functional coordination in a distributed environment. Success in this role will be measured by the team’s ability to raise developer effectiveness while maintaining high standards for reliability and security.

Location: Remote - US based candidates only, no visa sponsorship available

Compensation: $150,000 – $180,000 annually

Responsibilities

• Lead and grow a team of engineers through hiring, coaching, and mentoring
• Define the team's technical strategy and roadmap based on organizational priorities
• Collaborate with product and infrastructure teams to address shared development challenges
• Work with staff engineers on architecture and strategic technical decisions
• Establish high standards for reliability and security across team-owned systems
• Enhance the experience of mobile engineers and AI agents using productivity metrics
• Maintain alignment and visibility with geographically distributed colleagues

Qualifications

• 8+ years of software development experience, including 3+ years in engineering management
• Experience leading teams that build platforms or tools for other engineers
• Ability to define technical strategy and translate goals into execution plans
• Proven success in hiring and developing engineers in an inclusive environment
• Strong communication skills to align cross-functional stakeholders
