Engineering Manager, Platform

For our client, we are seeking a Engineering Manager, Platform to join the team of a leader in the Information Technology space.

This role will guide a globally distributed engineering organization responsible for building and scaling core platform capabilities. The position blends hands-on technical leadership with people management, supporting reliable, high-availability systems and the internal automation that keeps development moving efficiently. You will partner across backend, frontend, mobile, security, and compliance functions to help shape technology decisions that improve both customer experience and operational resilience.

Location: Remote - US based candidates only, no visa sponsorship available

Compensation: $130,000 – $160,000 annually

Responsibilities

• Manage and grow a globally distributed engineering team
• Provide technical leadership across multiple tech stacks including backend, frontend, and mobile
• Collaborate on building highly reliable systems with 99.99% uptime
• Drive development of internal platform capabilities and automation
• Incorporate customer feedback into development and technology decisions
• Integrate security and compliance practices during the software development lifecycle
• Participate in on-call rotation to support production systems

Qualifications

• 5-7 years of experience in engineering management with a focus on distributed teams
• Strong familiarity with TypeScript, Rust, Python, and Scala
• Proven track record in high-growth startups with high scalability requirements
• Generalist engineering mindset over specific stack expertise
• Experience implementing and managing infrastructure technologies
