Engineering Manager - Secure Access

For our client, we are seeking a Engineering Manager - Secure Access to join the team of a leader in the Information Technology space.

This role will guide a team focused on secure access capabilities within a modern technology environment. You will set technical direction, prioritize engineering work, and help translate product vision into executable plans. The position also plays a key role in integrating on-premises and cloud environments while maintaining reliability for existing users and supporting the delivery of new functionality.

Location: Remote - US based candidates only, no visa sponsorship available

Compensation: $140,000 – $170,000 annually

Responsibilities

• Lead a team of software and platform engineers supporting secure access capabilities
• Set technical direction and manage project priorities
• Oversee the integration of on-premises and cloud environments
• Mentor engineers across software and platform disciplines
• Ensure reliability for existing customers while delivering new features

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent experience
• 3+ years of direct engineering management experience
• 5+ years of hands-on experience in platform, infrastructure, or software engineering
• Experience managing VMware vSphere/ESXi on-premises infrastructure
• Experience with VDI or remote-access infrastructure
• Experience deploying workloads on a major cloud platform, preferably GCP
• Working knowledge of Linux, containers, and CI/CD pipelines
• Ability to translate product vision into engineering tasks
• Strong communication skills for nontechnical stakeholders
