We are looking for an Engineering Manager who combines strong hands-on software engineering skills with people leadership experience .

The ideal candidate will have a strong development background in TypeScript/JavaScript, React, Node.js, and AWS , while also having experience managing and mentoring engineering teams.

This person will lead a team of approximately 5 8 engineers , remain hands-on with architecture and coding, and partner closely with Product, Architecture, Security, and other enterprise teams.

Key Responsibilities

Team Leadership 30%

• Manage and mentor a team of 5 8 software engineers.
• Provide coaching, feedback, and career development.
• Promote ownership, accountability, and continuous improvement.
• Support team engagement and performance management.

Technical Leadership & Development 50%

• Remain hands-on with TypeScript/JavaScript, React, Node.js, and AWS.
• Contribute to system architecture, design, development, deployment, and production support.
• Build scalable, secure, resilient, and observable applications.
• Establish CI/CD, automated testing, code quality, and modern engineering practices.
• Work with Architecture, Security, Compliance, and other enterprise teams.
• Support adoption of AI/ML capabilities where appropriate.

Cross-Functional Leadership 20%

• Partner with Product Owners to translate business requirements into technical solutions.
• Manage cross-team dependencies.
• Communicate technical risks, tradeoffs, and project progress.
• Participate in roadmap planning and prioritization.

Required Skills

Must Have

• 6 8+ years of software engineering experience.
• 2+ years of engineering management/team leadership experience.
• Strong hands-on TypeScript/JavaScript development.
• Strong React experience.
• Strong Node.js experience.
• Experience building cloud-native applications on AWS.
• Distributed systems and API experience.
• Event-driven architecture experience.
• CI/CD, automated testing, observability, and security practices.
• System design and architecture experience.
• Experience leading complex cross-functional engineering initiatives.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
