Engineering Onboarding Manager

For our client, we are seeking a Engineering Onboarding Manager to join the team of a leader in the Finance & Insurance space.

This role will shape the onboarding experience for new engineers, helping them build confidence, ramp quickly, and connect to the broader engineering organization. You will partner closely with engineering leaders and subject-matter experts to create high-impact learning experiences that support modern development practices. The position also plays a key role in translating AI-assisted workflows into practical, scalable training for distributed teams across North America and EMEA.

Location: Remote - US based candidates only, no visa sponsorship available

Compensation: $204,000 – $264,000 annually

Responsibilities

• Design and deliver a technical onboarding experience for new engineers across North America and EMEA
• Lead hands-on learning experiences both in person and virtually
• Partner with engineering leaders and subject-matter experts to develop onboarding content
• Translate AI-first engineering practices into practical learning experiences
• Create tailored onboarding plans in collaboration with managers and buddies
• Coordinate cross-functional support for new hires to ensure effective onboarding
• Gather and analyze feedback for continuous improvement of onboarding processes

Qualifications

• 2-4 years as a technical leader in software engineering
• Familiarity with modern software development practices, particularly in AI-assisted environments
• Experience improving engineering workflows and learning programs
• Ability to create clear plans and operating rhythms from ambiguous problems
• Technical judgment to build trust with engineering leaders
• Influential collaborator across various teams without direct authority
• Strong communication skills and a passion for helping engineers develop confidence
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience required
