Job Summary

The Engineering Procurement Coordinator serves as the technical liaison operating directly between Engineering and the Purchasing team. Reporting to the Purchasing Manager, this role is dedicated to receiving structured Bills of Materials (BOMs) provided by Engineering, auditing data integrity, verifying make/buy item designations, and loading validated purchase requirements into FATA’s Infor SyteLine ERP platform. This position ensures flawless item master setup, proper parent-child BOM hierarchy, and swift generation of purchase requisitions for the procurement team.

Core Responsibilities

• Engineering BOM Intake & Verification: Receive formal Bills of Materials directly released by Mechanical and Controls Engineering. Review and audit spreadsheets and system exports for complete part numbers, manufacturer details, descriptions, quantities, and correct units of measure (UOM).
• Infor SyteLine ERP Data Loading: Enter, import, and maintain multi-level manufacturing BOM structures, job materials, and item masters within Infor SyteLine. Configure part source rules, ensuring buy items generate timely purchase demands.
• Direct Engineering Alignment: Collaborate closely with Engineers to clarify BOM discrepancies, missing specifications, vendor item numbers, or unit-of-measure conflicts before loading data into SyteLine.
• SyteLine Requisition Generation: Trigger and release purchase requisitions in SyteLine, prioritizing critical-path and long- lead components to facilitate prompt review and purchase order generation by buyers.
• Engineering Change Notices (ECN): Audit, process, and reconcile design modifications and engineering BOM revisions in SyteLine, updating open job orders and adjusting purchase demands in real time.

Required Skills and Qualifications

• Education: Bachelor’s or Associate degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Industrial Technology, or related field
• ERP Experience: 1+ years of hands-on experience utilizing Infor SyteLine ERP (or comparable manufacturing ERP) for BOM data entry, item maintenance, or requisitioning.
• BOM Data Handling: 1+ years of practical experience processing, auditing, or managing multi-level Bills of Materials within a manufacturing, assembly, or engineering environment.
• Writing Skills: Exceptional business writing, proofreading, and editing capabilities with strict attention to detail.
• Cross-Functional Communication: Clear, professional interpersonal skills to interface smoothly with engineers and purchasing personnel.
• Technical Savvy: Proficiency with Customer Relationship Management (CRM) tools like Salesforce and advanced knowledge of MS Office Suite.
• Data Literacy: Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (data sorting, filtering, formulas, formatting) for preparing BOM imports.
