Engineering Procurement Supervisor

About the role

Ensure the timely and continuous availability of engineering spare parts and equipment to support uninterrupted factory operations and minimize production downtime. Handle procurement activities for engineering spare parts, production equipment, maintenance materials, and other technical requirements for all factories.

Key responsibilities

• Source, evaluate, negotiate, and maintain relationships with suppliers to obtain the best quality, competitive pricing, and reliable delivery performance
• Request and compare quotations, prepare cost analyses, and recommend suppliers for purchasing decisions
• Create and process Purchase Requisitions (PR) and Purchase Orders (PO), and monitor the purchasing process until goods are delivered on time
• Coordinate closely with Engineering, Maintenance, Warehouse, and other related departments to ensure spare parts and equipment are available according to operational requirements
• Monitor inventory levels of engineering spare parts, analyze consumption trends, and plan replenishment to maintain optimum stock while minimizing excess inventory
• Analyze inventory turnover and spare parts usage to improve inventory efficiency and support cost optimization
• Conduct periodic stock opname and reconcile physical inventory with the inventory management system
• Ensure procurement documents, supplier records, and inventory data are accurate, complete, and properly maintained
• Evaluate supplier performance based on quality, cost, delivery, and service, and support continuous supplier improvement initiatives
• Prepare regular procurement, inventory, and spare parts utilization reports for management

Job Requirement

• Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Supply Chain Management, Industrial Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field
• Minimum 3 years of experience in Procurement, Purchasing, or Spare Parts Inventory within a manufacturing environment
• Good understanding of engineering spare parts, production equipment, maintenance materials, and industrial procurement processes
• Familiar with inventory management, inventory turnover, stock replenishment planning, and spare parts control
• Experience in supplier sourcing, quotation comparison, price negotiation, and vendor performance evaluation
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel and experience with ERP systems is an advantage
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills with attention to detail
• Good communication and coordination skills, with the ability to work effectively across multiple factories and cross-functional teams
• Able to work independently and in a team, manage multiple priorities, and perform well under pressure in a fast-paced manufacturing environment
• Fluent in English. Mandarin proficiency is an advantage
