Engineering Project Coordinator

Job Responsibilities

• Coordinate engineering and design-related matters for substation projects.
• Liaise with external design consultants / design companies on engineering drawings, design revisions, technical comments and project requirements.
• Review and understand engineering drawings and technical documents.
• Coordinate and follow up with internal departments including Project, Engineering, Construction, Procurement and other relevant teams.
• Communicate and coordinate project requirements between external design consultants and the internal project team.
• Follow up on design submissions, drawing revisions, technical clarifications and approvals.
• Monitor engineering and design progress to ensure deliverables are completed according to project schedules.
• Assist in resolving design and technical coordination matters between the design company and internal project team.
• Maintain proper records of engineering documents, drawings, revisions, submissions and correspondence.
• Prepare project updates and follow up on outstanding engineering matters.
• Perform other project coordination duties as assigned by management.

Requirements

• Diploma / Degree in Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Civil Engineering or a related field.
• Relevant experience in engineering, construction, power or substation projects will be an advantage.
• Able to understand and interpret engineering drawings and technical documents.
• Good understanding of engineering project coordination and design processes.
• Mandarin proficiency is required. Candidate must be able to read, write and communicate effectively in Mandarin, as the position requires frequent communication with Mandarin-speaking parties.
• Good command of English, both written and spoken.
• Strong communication, coordination and follow-up skills.
• Able to communicate effectively with external consultants/design companies and internal departments.
• Independent, organised and able to manage multiple project matters simultaneously.
