Engineering Project Engineer

Job Purpose

The Engineering Project Engineer is responsible for planning, coordinating, and delivering engineering projects from design and specification development through installation, FAT/SAT, commissioning, and final handover. The role ensures projects meet technical, quality, safety, schedule, and budget requirements while working closely with cross-functional teams, suppliers, and contractors.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and manage engineering projects from initiation through final handover, including scope, goals, deliverables, and technical requirements.
• Develop project schedules, milestones, budgets, and progress reports while coordinating internal teams, suppliers, and contractors.
• Monitor project progress, risks, costs, and resources, and implement recovery actions to ensure on-time delivery.
• Prepare and review FAT/SAT procedures, acceptance criteria, checklists, and project documentation.
• Participate in FAT and coordinate SAT, dry runs, commissioning, and performance testing.
• Prepare and review machine, equipment, utility, and installation layouts using AutoCAD.
• Develop SOWs and technical specifications and support RFQ and technical evaluation activities.
• Supervise suppliers and contractors during installation, ensuring compliance with technical, quality, and safety requirements.
• Manage project budgets, procurement requirements, quotations, BOQs, and cost changes.
• Review engineering designs, drawings, specifications, and technical documentation.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Automation, Mechatronics, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in engineering project management, machine installation, or industrial projects.
• Hands-on experience with FAT/SAT, commissioning, machine installation, and supplier/contractor management.
• Strong AutoCAD skills and ability to prepare engineering layouts and read mechanical/electrical drawings, P&IDs, shop drawings, and as-built drawings.
• Experience preparing SOWs, technical specifications, RFQs, BOQs, and technical evaluations.
• Good knowledge of project planning, scheduling, budget control, and risk management.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and Microsoft Project or similar project-planning tools.
• Good technical English with strong analytical, troubleshooting, problem-solving, and communication skills.
